Capt (retd.) Arif Nawaz takes charge as Punjab IG
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Captain (retd) Arif Nawaz on Wednesday took charge as the new Punjab Inspector General in a ceremony held in IG office Lahore.
Smartly turned-out personnel of the police force presented guard of honour to Punjab IG.
Speaking on the occasion, Arif Nawaz said that the sacrifices laid by the police martyrs are a leading light for him. He stressed that the sacrificies will not go in vain.
“Police personnel have been targeted in Balochistan, Sindh and Punjab. Our police have been well-trained. They should work with passion and eliminate the terror elements,” he said.
Responding to a question, he said that he will continue the good work already happening in the department.
‘Betterment will be brought wherever it is needed. Punjab police will improve its performance,” he said.=DNA
