KARACHI, DEC 15, (DNA) – Junaid Jamshed’s brother Humayun Jamshed on Wednesday thanked people of the country for their support after his brother’s death as he flew back to Karachi from Rawalpindi with Junaid Jamshed’s body.

“I used to think that I am his only brother but people of Pakistan proved otherwise. I realized, he was every Pakistani’s brother,” said Humayun Jamshed.

He also thanked people of Pakistan and the country’s armed forces for honouring the late singer-turned-preacher by shrouding his body in country’s flag. He was of the view that whole Pakistan stood with him and his family in their hour of grief.

Humayun announced that Junaid Jamshed’s funeral prayers will be held on Thursday in Moeen Khan Academy DHA at 2:00 PM and Maulana Tariq Jameel will lead the prayers “most probably”.

Junaid Jamshed will be buried in Darul Uloom Korangi.

Pop singer-turned-religious preacher Junaid Jamshed and one of his wives lost their life in a plane crash on December 7.

Jamshed along with 46 others, boarded flight PK-661 from Chitral. The plane was to reach Islamabad but it crashed near Havelian village of Punjab. The crash killed all on board.
