British HC calls on Interior Minister
ISLAMABAD, 23 MAY (DNA) – British High Commissioner to Pakistan Thomas Drew called on Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan in Islamabad on Monday.
They exchanged views on human trafficking, organized crimes, security issues and bilateral ties.
The British High Commissioner also called on Finance Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar to discuss bilateral ties with Pakistan.
They hoped that cooperation in various fields will further increase mutual interests of both the countries.
Finance Minister said that government is focusing on economic development and creation of job opportunities.
He said that foreign investment can play a key role in the process.
He appreciated UK’s support for the social sector, health, agriculture, disaster management and poverty alleviation.
Drew said that Pakistan is playing pivotal role in peace, stability and development of the region. DNA
