Pakistan, Belarus agree to promote cooperation through parliamentary friendship groups
ISLAMABAD, March 18 (DNA): A Meeting of the select Members of Pakistan – Belarus Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Ms. Irina Akulovich, Member of the Standing Committee for Legislation and State Administration of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus was held in Islamabad Monday.
Muhammad Yaqoob Sheikh, MNA and Convener of Pak-Belarus PFG highlighted to promote the bilateral exchanges between the two countries. The Honorable Speaker National Assembly also graced the occasion with his presence during the meeting. The Ambassador of Belarus was also present during the meeting.
The Speaker shared the desire to further enhance relations with Belarus in all fields of mutual interest.
Later on, the Convener of Pak-Belarus PFG hosted a lunch at Serena Hotel, Islamabad. Both sides agreed that Pakistan-Belarus Parliamentary Friendship Group can play a pivotal role to promote Parliamentary diplomacy, investment, trade and cultural exchanges between Pakistan and Belarus.
