Authorities ordered to put Dr. Asim on ECL
KARACHI, FEB 03, (DNA) – Sindh High Court (SHC) has directed authorities to put the name of Dr. Asim Hussain on Exit Control List (ECL), Samaa reported Friday.
Dr. Asim Hussain, a close aide of former President Asif Ali Zardari and a PPP leader, is facing corruption and terrorism related cases.
He is being investigated by National Accountably Bureau (NAB) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
The accused, who is a former Petroleum Minister, has requested the court to allow him fly abroad for treatment; however, the court rejected his plea.
In a written order, the SHC directed authorities to put his name on the ECL and not issue any passport till the investigation is complete.=DNA
