Australian High Commissioner meets Naval Chief
ISLAMABAD, JAN 28 /DNA/ – Timothy Kane, the High Commissioner of Australia to Pakistan, held a meeting with Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf at the Naval Headquarters in Islamabad today.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation were discussed. Both officials expressed a shared commitment to enhancing naval collaboration between Pakistan and Australia, with a focus on regional maritime security and stability.
Admiral Naveed Ashraf highlighted the Pakistan Navy’s role in maintaining peace and security in the region and welcomed opportunities for joint exercises and training exchanges.
High Commissioner Kane appreciated Pakistan’s contributions to maritime security and reaffirmed Australia’s interest in strengthening defense ties.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both sides agreeing to continue high-level engagements in the future.
