Asim Suleman appointed Chairman PIA
ISLAMABAD, MAY 29 (DNA)- Air Marshal ® Asim Suleman has been appointed Chairman Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). The President has given approval of the appointment.
According to media reports Asim Suleman will soon take charge of his new office. Previously he was serving as the Director General Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), however he had to call it a day after CAA officers started protests against him.
Asim Suleman is well known for his integrity and hard work. He wanted to bring sweeping changes in CAA but some vested interests in CAA tried to stop him way.
So much so the officers the Authority refused to work under him. Asim Suleman also contributed a lot in development of the new airport. It was during his tenure that most of the development work of new airport was completed.=DNA
