Ashiana Housing scandal: Shehbaz Sharif produced before accountability court
LAHORE (DNA) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and Opposition Leader in the National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday has been produced before the accountability court after he was detained by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in Ashiana Housing scandal.
During the hearing headed by Justice Najam-ul-Hassan, NAB prosecutor Waris Ali Janjua said that Shehbaz Sharif inflicted millions of rupees loss on national exchequer, adding that he cancelled scheme s contract with Latif Sons and awarded it to CASA Developers.
Meanwhile, Shehbaz Sharif denied all the charges against him.
Law experts Amjad Pervaiz and Azam Nazeer Tarar have been appointed as Sharif’s lawyer.
Only Sharif’s sons, Hamza and Salman Shahbaz, have been allowed to enter the court premises. Other PML-N leaders including Marriyum Aurangzeb, Khurram Dastgir and Saira Afzal Tarrar are present outside the court with the party protesters.
