Army chief meets Saudi Crown Prince, discusses ‘wide-ranging’ issues
Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman and Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa hold a key meeting at Mina Tuesday night on the former’s invitation.
The Saudi crown prince also arranged a dinner in the honour of the army chief Tuesday night. Mohammad Bin Salman also congratulated Pakistan’s top general on performing Hajj.
In the meeting, they discussed different issues of mutual interest including regional security, Inter-Services Public Relations reported.
Prince Salman expressed his strong optimism about the success of Pakistan in defeating challenges at hand. He also expressed his best wishes and support to the newly-elected government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
In response, “COAS thanked his highness for best wishes and support for Pakistan,” read a tweet posted by ISPR head Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor.
On Tuesday, General Qamar Javed Bajwa along with his family. The army chief prayed for peace and stability in the country on the occasion.
