Army chief arrives in Quetta to attend high-level meeting

QUETTA (DNA) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday has arrived in Quetta to participate in high-level meeting at Southern Command Headquarters.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations Director General (DG ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor, Khushhal Balochistan program is being launched that aims at enduring stability through socio-economic development and security.
Earlier, General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Military Police Training Centre in Dera Ismail (DI) Khan and installed Lieutenant General Anwar Ali Hyder as Colonel Commandant of Corps of Military Police.
During multiple briefings, the army chief was told about operational preparedness of the troops and progress made in security operations. He was also briefed on aspects of training and core administration to better the efficiency of the Frontier Corps.
