Arif Alvi takes oath as 13th President of Pakistan
ISLAMABAD (DNA) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Arif Alvi has sworn in as 13th head of the state during a ceremony at President House in Islamabad (Sunday).
According to details, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar administered the oath to the newly-elected president.
The prominent political leaders and other key dignitaries including Prime Minister of Pakistan (PM) Imran Khan and chiefs of all three armed forces were also present on the occasion.
Arif Alvi won the presidential elections last week by securing 352 votes in the electoral college of national and provincial assemblies and the Senate.
