APNS announces holiday on 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal
ISLAMABAD, AUG 17 /DNA/ – The All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) has officially announced that its member publications will observe a complete closed holiday on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, in connection with the holy occasion of Eid Milad un Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him).
According to the notification issued by the APNS, there will be no morning newspapers published on Thursday, August 27, 2026, as a result of the holiday.
However, evening newspapers that do not publish on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, have been given the option to bring out their editions on Thursday, August 27, 2026, if they so desire.
The decision applies to all member publications of the APNS across the country. The announcement is in line with the traditional observance of the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, which marks the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
