Ambassador Moghadam briefs Iranian FM on Pakistan-Iran ties

TEHRAN – Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran, Reza Amiri Moghadam, recently met with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi to discuss the state of bilateral relations between the two countries. The ambassador provided a comprehensive briefing on the progress made since the recent visit of Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian to Pakistan, highlighting efforts to further strengthen their friendly and fraternal ties.
Foreign Minister Araghchi expressed his appreciation for the warm hospitality shown to President Pezeshkian during his visit to Pakistan. He conveyed his satisfaction with the productive discussions held with senior Pakistani officials and reaffirmed Iran’s strong commitment to the comprehensive development of bilateral relations. Araghchi emphasized that this commitment is a key part of Iran’s policy of “good neighborliness” and includes the active follow-up and implementation of all agreements reached during the presidential visit.
The minister also underscored the shared positions and active cooperation between Iran and Pakistan on various regional and international platforms. He stressed the importance of continued high-level consultations between the two sides to protect their mutual interests and contribute to regional peace, security, and stability. The meeting highlighted the strong bond between the two neighboring countries and their mutual desire to work together for a more secure and prosperous future.
