Air France, Lufthansa, Norwegian Airline and a Saudi Airline have shown interest in operating in Pakistan, said the Federal Minister of Aviation Mr. Muhammad Mian Soomro, during CAA’s “one employee – one tree” plantation campaign at Jinnah International Terminal.
CAAs plantation campaign is a part of Prime Minister’s Green Pakistan program. He said that the Aviation Policy 2019 has been designed to increase growth in the aviation sector by reducing charges on airliners and allow them to compete to provide better services to passengers.
He also added that the government is looking forward to foreign investors financing new domestic airlines in Pakistan.
Senior Officials of CAA participated in the event including DDG regulatory (Deputy Director General Regulatory wing) Air Commodore Syed Nasir Raza Hamdani, DDG-ANS (Deputy Director General Air Navigation Services) Khawar Ghayas, APM JIAP(Airport Manager Jinnah International Airport) Zafar Aitemd.
It should be kept in mind that British High Commissioner Thomas Drew announced British Airways will return to Pakistan in a video message on Twitter back in December.
