Ahsan orders check on online extremist propaganda

ISLAMABAD, OCT 03 (DNA) – Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has ordered National Counter-Terrorism Authority (NACTA) to closely monitor the activities of extremist elements on social media. The minister said that extremist elements were using social media platforms to spread propaganda.
Iqbal was chairing a meeting on Monday to review NACTA’s performance. He stressed the need for empowering the authority and making it more active.
“It is inevitable to strengthen NACTA and make it more operational to fight against terrorism,” the minister said.
