Ahsan Iqbal inaugurates CPEC Center of Excellence in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, MAR 27, (DNA) – Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal on Monday has inaugurated China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Center of Excellence in Islamabad today (Monday).
Addressign the inaugural ceremony, Ahsan Iqbal said goal oriented research with relevance to the future and development of the country is the need of the hour.
He said the center will serve as guiding star for both our policy makers and business class and will integrate and coordinate the institutions engaged in implementing the CPEC.
He said the center is aimed at research in six key areas of CPEC including the socio-economic impact of the project, the trade and industrial development, regional connectivity, financial integration, urban development and job opportunities created by the project.
He said 2018 will be the year of completion of many projects under the CPEC and we will be able to overcome energy shortage by generating electricity from multifarious sources.
He said the country`s progress is being acclaimed internationally and it is being termed the fastest Muslim economy of the world.=DNA
