Afghan FM thanks Pakistan for taking care of refugees
ISLAMABAD (DNA) –Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Tuesday called Mohammed Haneef Atmar acting Foreign Minister of Afghanitan to discuss bilateral counter-COVID-19, peace, security and economic cooperation.
Afghan Foreign Minister said he thanked Pakistan government and people for extending emergency support to Afghan refugees and support for bilateral trade and transit.
Both sides vowed to work together on counter-terrorism through APAPPS mechanisms, building a better understanding of each other’s concerns, intel sharing from Aslam Farooqi and his accomplices for mutual security and security cooperation in our shared region constitute our top priorities.
On economic front, both sides agreed to work on a joint economic cooperation framework, continued cooperation to facilitate bilateral trade and transit during COVID-19 crisis and reviewing feasibility of railway extension into Spin Boldak and Torkham.=DNA
