Afghan conflict cannot be resolved without Pak’s help: Miftah Ismail
ISLAMABAD, JAN 05 (DNA) – Prime Minister’s (PM) Adviser Miftah Ismail on Friday has said that Afghanistan conflict cannot be resolved without Pakistan’s help.
In a statement, Miftah Ismail said that United States will only bear loss by making Pakistan economically weak. He said that America cannot fight in Afghanistan without the assistance of Pakistan.
His remarks come after US President Trump categorically said “no more” aid to Pakistan in his recent tweet. The US President wrote that they foolishly gave over 33 billion dollars in aid to Pakistan over the past 15 years. He slammed Pakistan for only providing lies and deceit in reaction.
“They give safe haven to the terrorists we hunt in Afghanistan, with little help. No more!” he tweeted.
Dr Miftah Ismail appointed as Advisor to the Prime Minister on Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs with the status of Federal Minister, with immediate effect on December 27.
Miftah Ismail said that he will follow the policy of his party to strengthen the economy of Pakistan.
