Pak- Afghan Parliamentary diplomacy to strengthen relations: Asad Qaiser
ISLAMABAD, Feb 12 (DNA): Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has said
parliamentary diplomacy between Pakistan and Afghanistan will help
strengthen relations and remove misunderstandings between the two
neighboring countries.
He was talking to Afghan Ambassador Designate to Pakistan Shukrullah
Atif Mashal who called on him in Islamabad.
He said parliamentarians of both the countries can play a pivotal role
in bringing the two nations close to each other. He said Pak-Afghan
trade will benefit both the countries.
The speaker said Pakistan desires to further strengthen trade and
economic relations with the neighboring country.
Asad Qaiser said Pak-Afghan relations are deep rooted in common faith,
culture and strong bonds of brotherhood.
He said there is great love and affection between the peoples on both
sides of the border.
Asad Qaiser said Pakistan desires a peaceful, stable and prosperous
Afghanistan. He said peaceful Afghanistan is in the interest of entire
region.
The speaker said Pakistan is striving for durable peace in Afghanistan
with the cooperation of regional and international partners.
In his remarks, Shukrullah Atif Mashal said his country gives great
importance to close and cordial relations with Pakistan. He said
Afghanistan values the efforts being made by Pakistan for regional peace
and security.
