EU ready to help Pakistan get out of FATF grey list: envoy
ISLAMABAD, AUG 06 (DNA) – Ambassador of European Union, Jean-Francois Cautain has assured to PM-in-waiting Imran Khan to collaborate in education, economic, GPS and other sector.
He said the EU was ready to help Pakistan get out of FATF grey list.
The Ambassador said that we have no objection over the Gas pipeline project which is in progress between Pakistan and Iran.
EU envoy also said that we will help the new government to bring overseas investors and businessmen in Pakistan.
Moreover he said we want to see a prosperous and stable Pakistan in the time to come.
Ambassador of the European Union to Pakistan, Jean-Francois Cautain called on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan at Banigala on Monday.
The prime minister nominee Imran Khan and EU Ambassador discussed matters of mutual interest.
PTI leader Asad Umar was also present during the meeting.
PTI Central Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Shahzad Waseem was also part of the meeting.
PM-in-waiting Imran Khan also appreciated Jean-Francois Cautain’s personal efforts and interest to improve bilateral ties between Pakistan and European Union and to help the people of Pakistan in difficult moments.
He desired that both Pakistan and European Union should improve people-to-people contacts through engagement and investments in multiple sectors including health and education.
The Ambassador congratulated Imran Khan for his party’s victory in general elections held last month.
Imran Khan welcomed the Ambassador at his residence and thanked him for his good wishes.
