Imran Khan vows to strengthen national institutions

ISLAMABAD, July 05 (DNA): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday hinted at forming an alliance to create a coalition government in case a hung parliament emerges after the July 25 elections.

Talking to reporters, the cricketer-turned-politician expressed the confidence that his party would emerge victorious in the upcoming elections.

“Negotiations are possible with those whose ideology and vision differ from that of ours. But not with looters and plunderers,” he said.

Lashing out at former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Imran alleged that the PML-N supremo was cashing in on his wife’s sickness to escape punishment.

“Kulsoom’s sickness is being used as an excuse to delay the (NAB) court verdict. Nawaz Sharif, come back. Adiala is waiting for you,” he added.

He also criticised the anti-graft watchdog’s decision to defer the arrest of election candidates until after polling day on July 25. DNA
