Punjab announces summer vacations from May 17
LAHORE, MAY 10 (DNA) – In wake of Ramazan, the Punjab government on Thursday announced summer vacation from May 17 till August 10.
The announcement was made by provincial Education Minister Rana Mashood.
The provincial government has also given conditional permission to the private schools to hold summer camps.
The minister said that the classes will resume by August 10. The decision came amid the holy month of Ramadan 2018.
On May 7, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had approved the summary requesting early summer vacations in schools throughout the province.
The secretary education made an announcement that the schools would remain closed from May 14 until July 16 owing to the extremely hot weather in the province.
He added that the schedule of vacations has been altered for providing some relief and peace to the poor school-going children.
