A new nationwide “Grand Democratic Alliance” in making
LAHORE, APR 11 (DNA) – Pakistan Muslim League-Functional leader Pir Pagara called on PML-Quaid’s Shujaat Hussain and Pervaiz Elahi on Wednesday.
They discussed the caretaker set-up and agreed to jointly contest upcoming polls.
Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that PML-Q, Grand Democratic Alliance and other parties will contest polls from same platform and same symbol.
They also discussed expansion of Grand Democratic Alliance across the country which initially started in Sindh. The PML-Q has formally joined the alliance. Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi said the alliance will welcome all political parties, including the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf.
Pir Pagara said 2013 elections were fixed and rigged adding that the similar set-up will lead to more devastation of country. The PML-F chief said he was ready to leave his designation if someone from Punjab wants to lead the alliance.
Pir Pagara said that the PTI and GDA leaders were in contact with each other and he has no objection over alliance with the PTI . Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain invited all like-minded parties and politicians to join alliance.
