ECP rejects objections to Swabi, Haripur constituency delimitation, reserves verdict on Peshawar constituencies
ISLAMABAD, APR 09 (DNA) – The Election Commission of Pakistan has rejected the objections raised over the constituency delimitation of Swabi and Haripur, while reserving its verdict on the National Assembly constituencies of Peshawar.
5-member bench headed by the Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Raza announced the verdict. The tribunal has termed objections to PK-42 valid and added areas from Ghazi to district Haripur.
The tribunal has reserved its verdict on NA-27 and 31. 27 from the provincial constituencies, nince from Charsadda, one each from Kohat and Kirk, while in NA-35, 1 from district Bannu, nine from provincial constituencies and five objections from district Lakki Marwat have been filed.
The Election Commission of Pakistan is set to announce verdict on Noshehra, Buner, Mardan and Swat today.
