A 300×200 ft national flag stands tall in Balochistan ahead of Pakistan Day
QUETTA, MAR 22 (DNA) – The Balochistan government on Thursday erected a Pakistan flag on the Jandran Ridge in Kohlu dirtrict ahead of Republic Day (March 23).
The flag is 300×200 ft in measurement, and stands at 5,577 ft (nearly 1700m) height above mean sea.
Kohlu, a district with harsh landscape and bursts of beauty hidden deep inside it, is bounded in the north by Loralai District, Dera Bugti in the south, in the east Rojhan-Mazari and Sibi District in the west.
Pakistan Day is celebrated to mark the Lahore Resolution on March 23 each year. The Lahore Resolution, which is also called Pakistan Resolution, passed on March 23, 1940, is considered a major milestone in the struggle for an independent state, which was later called Pakistan. This was the first forum where Muslims of the Indian subcontinent formally demanded a separate homeland for themselves.
