FC recovers 18 abductees during search operation in Turbat
QUETTA: (DNA) – Two days after the Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Quetta announced a search operation, 18 abducted persons have been recovered, out of which 16 are reported to be foreigners.
The search operation was carried out on the outskirts of Kech (Turbat) where the abducted people were held. The persons were trying to illegally enter Europe, and amidst their trip, were kidnapped and abducted.
Balochistan’s Frontier Corps (FC) carried out the operation with the help of other institutional organisations. All 18 persons were recovered from a single house in the region which also had a huge cache of weapons. All weapons found were seized immediately.
From the recovered, 15 are Nigerian nationals, one from Yemen and two Pakistanis. The two Pakistanis are Shujauddin from Lahore and Ghulam Hussain from Karachi. During the raids, two suspects were also arrested.
The recovered persons were transported to Turbat, and the arrested personnel are also going to be transported there for further interrogation and investigation on whether they have connections with the dead bodies recovered earlier.
The 20 people who have died in Turbat were all from Punjab.
