PML-N can win NA-120 by-poll with Kulsoom Nawaz: Khurshid Shah
ISLAMABAD, AUG 09 (DNA) – Opposition Leader Khurshid Shah suggested that ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) can triumph NA-120 by-poll if they appoint Begum Kulsoom Nawaz as the candidate.
Reacting to GT Road rally from Islamabad to Lahore, he said Nawaz Sharif took too long to rally for public support.
He stressed that every political party has right to hold rally for existence, however, Nawaz Sharif has been late to do so. There are risks in staging a rally but it allows politicians to meet people, he said.
Shah said, “Supreme Court disqualified him and this is the only way he can save himself.” He advised ex-PM to trust the power of parliament, public support and Bhutto’s ideology.
While talking about the issues faced by country, he said only Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) can help bring back prosperity. “Qatari Prince letter caused damage to him PML-N can win NA-120 by-election if Begum Kulsoom is the candidate,” he added.
When asked about relations with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), he said both PPP and PTI are in opposition and have no ties beyond that.=DNA
