Panama case decisive stage: Sharif family lawyers finalise preparations
ISLAMABAD, JUL 13 (DNA) – Sharif family’s lawyers have completed their preparations for the Panama case’s decisive stage that will begin on Monday as Supreme Court (SC) will begin hearing the case again in light of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report.
A team of 18 lawyers will defend Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and his children before SC. The lawyers include Makhdoom Ali Khan, Khawaja Haris, Khurram Hashmi, Faisal Naqvi, Sarmad Hamdani and Mustafa Mirza.
The cases of PM’s daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif, son-in-law Captain Safdar and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will be defended by Shahid Hamid, Ayesha Hamid and Rafaqat Hussain Shah.
PM’s sons Hassan and Hussain Nawaz have also decided to defend their case before SC. Salman Akram Raja, Syed Rafaqat Hussain, Malik Ghulam Shabbir, Nadeem Shahzad Hashmi, Zeeshan Hashmi, Ateera Ikram, Tariq Bashir and Shakeel Mughal will defend them.
