Hussain Nawaz leaves for Qatar
ISLAMABAD, JUL 06 (DNA) – Hussain Nawaz, the elder son of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has left for Doha, reports said on Thursday.
Hussain Nawaz flew from Qatar airways at 10:00 am. The purpose of his visit is not known.
Hussain Nawaz appeared before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) sixth time on Monday.
According to reports, Hussain is likely to meet Qatari prince Hamad Bin Jasim bin Jaber al Thani in connection with investigation into Sharif Family’s assets revealed in Panama Papers.
Two members of the probe body reportdely went to Dubai to record his statement but the prince again refused to meet them in Pakistan Embassy. saying Pakistani laws does not apply to him.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Affairs Dr Asif Kirmani on Wednesday said the JIT report would only be considered trust worthy if it incorporated the statement of Qatari prince.
The JIT has to submit its final report to the Supreme Court’s Panama implementation bench on July 10.
