SC to hear JIT petition over security concerns today
ISLAMABAD, JUN 19 (DNA) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) will hear petition filed by Panama Joint Investigation Team (JIT), highlighting security threats and other difficulties being faced by the members.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal conducted a hearing during which it was decided to postpone it till 1:00 pm as no member of JIT was able to reach the court.
Subsequently, the proceeding has been suspended after consulting with Attorney General.
On the other hand, JIT will meet to review documents and record submitted by Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shehbaz Sharif at Federal Judicial Academy.
