PM to attend SCO Summit in Astana on Thursday
ISLAMABAD, JUN 05 (DNA) – Foreign Secretary Tahmina Janjua said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will attend Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit beginning in Astana Kazakhstan on Thursday.
In an interview, she said Pakistan will be given full membership of SCO in the summit.
Regarding the situation in Afghanistan, the Foreign Secretary said Pakistan always supports Afghan-owned and Afghan-led peace process to restore normalcy in the region.
She said border management should be improved between the two countries to check cross border terrorism.
Pakistan understands the agony of its Afghan brethren as both are victims of terrorism. She called for a positive approach to improving ties between Islamabad and Kabul.=DNA
