RWALPINDI, MAR 30, (DNA) – Today another hardcore terrorist, who was involved in committing heinous offences relating to terrorism, including attacks on Bannu Jail and Law Enforcement Agencies has been executed at District Jail Kohat. The convict was tried by military court.
Detail of the case is as under.
Tahir S/O Mir Shah Jehan. The convict was an active member of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan. He was involved in attacking/breaking of Bannu Jail owing to which number of terrorists managed to escape from the Jail. He was also involved in attacks on Law Enforcement Agencies which resulted in death of a soldier and injuries to another soldier. He admitted his offences before the Magistrate and the trial court. He was awarded death sentence.
