ISLAMABAD, 28 AUG, (DNA) – The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan has presented a six-point agenda to resolve longstanding Kashmir issue in accordance with United Nations resolutions in Islamabad on Sunday.

It includes evolving unity among all political forces in AJK and enhancing contacts with representative leadership in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Intensifying efforts to highlight Kashmir issue more effectively through the Kashmiris and Pakistanis settled in North American and European countries and Gulf States.

Raising voice with US Administration, US Congress, EU Parliament that are champions of human rights and international laws to discourage blatant human rights violations by Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir.

Taking comprehensive measures to repeatedly knock the doors of United Nations, Human Rights Council and other concerned international institutions to get UN resolutions on Kashmir implemented, granting people of Jammu and Kashmir their internationally recognized right to self-determination.

The UN Secretary General will be appealed to appoint a special representative for monitoring the situation in Occupied Kashmir.

Efforts will also be made to demand India to resume dialogue process with Pakistan for a comprehensive and result oriented talk on Kashmir issue.

The platform of OIC will be effectively used to put pressure on India to settle the Kashmir conflict peacefully.

Political and civil society of India shall be appealed to prevail upon India to stop atrocities and human rights violations against people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The AJK President also appealed to all political forces of AJK, electronic and print media, civil society and learned segments of the society to cooperate for implementation of six point agenda so that the Kashmir issue could be peacefully resolved.

Masood Khan said government can achieve its targets through organized and collaborated efforts of people of all walks of life in the State. =DNA
