Peshawar Cricket Club of blind clinches PAF T20 Cricket Championshi
ISLAMABAD, 09 MAY (DNA) – Peshawar Cricket Club of the Blind defeated Islamabad Cricket Club of the Blind in the final of PAF T20 Cricket Champions Trophy for the Blind, played at PAF Complex Cricket Ground Islamabad.
Air Marshal Farooq Habib, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Training) was the chief guest at the occasion.
Islamabad Cricket Club of the Blind won the toss and elected to field first. Peshawar Cricket Club of the Blind scored 309 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 over. Haroon Khan played a brilliant innings of 140 runs.
In reply Islamabad Cricket Club of the Blind could score only 224 despite Anis Javed’s heroic 145 runs innings and lost the match by 85 runs. Haroon Khan was declared man of the match because of his thrilling century.
Six teams from different cities of Pakistan participated in the tournament. The chief guest awarded prizes among the winners of the tournament. Speaking on the occasion the chief guest congratulated all the participating teams for showing such marvelous sportsman spirit. He further said that PAF was proud of serving the noble cause of bringing the visually impaired in the mainstream of the society. DNA
