Two cops gunned down in Quetta targeted killing

QUETTA: Two policemen were killed and two others critically injured in what appears to be an incident of targeted killing, police said.
Assailants riding motorbikes opened fire at on police mobile in the Munir Mengal Road area on Thursday, police said, before fleeing on their bikes.
The injured policemen were rushed to Civil Hospital Quetta for treatment where an emergency has been declared.
Police and Frontier Corps personnel reached the spot and an investigation was launched into the attack.
Earlier this month, a suicide bomber blew himself up outside a polio centre in Quetta’s Satellite Town area, killing 15 people, including 12 policemen.
In the past, policemen have been targeted in Quetta’s Satellite Town, Sariab Road and Pashtoonabad areas.
