Minister Khawaja Asif holds talks with Tajikistan leadership
DUSHANBE, JAN 12 (DNA) -.. Pakistan’s Minister for Water and Power and Defence met with the foreign minister of Tajikistan in Dushanbe on Jan 11. Both the leaders discussed ways and means to further enhance cooperation in diverse fields. Earlier, upon arrival at the foreign ministry Pakistan’s minister for accorded very warm welcome. The Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov received Khawaja Asif. Pakistan and Tajikistan enjoy excellent relations. In fact, relations between the two brotherly countries have strengthened over the years. Pakistan and Tajikistan are actively involved in a number of projects including CASA 1000 which is bring electricity from Tajikistan to Pakistan. Khawaja Asif also met with Tajik minister for defence, minister for energy and water resources and minister of industry. On Tuesday Khawaja Asif will be received by the President of Tajiistan Emomali Rahman. Besides, Tajik-Pak joint working group will also meet in in Dushanbe.
