Rashid stresses resolving Kashmir issue for lasting peace
ISLAMABAD, 27 DEC (DNA) – Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid says lasting peace is impossible in the entire region sans resolving Kashmir issue.
Addressing Kashmir Round Table Conference in Islamabad, he said freedom struggle of Kashmiris is unmatched and no issue could be resolved through static approach. He said Pakistan would continue its support to Kashmiris at all levels.
The Minister urged Kashmiris be granted right to self-determination, the fact which had already been conceded by then Indian leadership in the United Nations. Pervaiz Rashid called for all possible options to resolve Kashmir issue.
Turning to economic, law and order situation in the country, he said this has been improved remarkably due to measures taken by the government. He said International rating agencies predicting country’s economic default in 2013 have now started highlighting economic achievements of the government. DNA
