ISLAMABAD, NOV 19 (DNA) =Dean of European Ambassador Emilian ION, Ambassador of Romania hosted a sumptuous lunch for the newly-arrived ambassador and high commissioners at his residence on Thursday.
While welcoming the newly arrived ambassadors, Ambassador Emilan said, he was honoured to have a galaxy of diplomats gathered at his residence to welcome their new colleagues. He also recognized the services of the Cuban ambassador who was about to leave the country after completing his tenure in Pakistan. Ambassador Emilian said during the tenure of Cuban Ambassador Jesus, relations between Cuba and Pakistan had touched new heights.
He particularly mentioned presence of the British High Commissioner Philip Barton, who had taken out time out of his busy schedule to be part of the welcome reception.
Ambassador Emilian also introduced the gathering the newly-arrived ambassadors of Belgium, the Netherlands, European Union, Poland, Australia, Spain, and hoped like their predecessors, they will also put in their best efforts to promote relations between Pakistan and their respective countries.
Dr. Inamul Haq President Pakistan Business Forum also spoke on the occasion and expressed his desire to work closely with the foreign missions in order promote businesses.
