Govt gives top priority to reduce cost of agriculture outputs: PM

LODHRAN, Nov 06 (DNA): Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said the government gives top priority to reduce cost of agriculture outputs.He was addressing a function in connection with the cheques distribution among the small farmers under the Prime Minister’s Kissan Package.The Prime Minister said the government has announced Kissan Package worth 341 billion rupees unprecedented in the history of the country.He said those who claimed love for the farmers have caused delay in the implementation of the package.
Prime Minister announced multiple development projects and grant of Rs250 million for Lodhran district. He also announced two degree colleges in Lodhran. He also announced to build two new flyovers and a new connecting road from Lodhran to Khanewal.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister for agriculture and food security Sikandar Hayat Bosan said the government has initiated several schemes to facilitate the small farmers and boost agriculture out-put. Earlier, the prime minister distributed cheque among the farmers amounting 85 billion rupees. DNA
