Target killings: 2 close friends gunned down

KARACHI, 12 JULY (DNA) – It seemed as if the target killers had once again been unleashed as they had gunned down at least 4 in Karachi.
In an incident of target killing that took place in Balouch Colony area of city’s West part, Orangi Town claimed lives of 2 friends, who were moving in their car. The target killers intercepted them near Balouch Colony Turn and showered volley of bullets from automatic weapon.
As a result, both the friends were seriously injured and one Dataar had expired on the spot while the other Imran succumbed to his injuries at the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
According to Police, the victims had hailed from Tando Adam Khan and had reached the Balouch Goth to meet their relatives. They were returning to their hometown after meeting their relatives but were targeted.
Police sources also said that both had married twice and apparently the incident looked like it was a matter of personal enmity.
Police had recovered a body of Raj Wali 50 from his house located within the precincts of Manghopir. His body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for necessary medico-legal procedures. His body was found wrapped up in a blanket, he was tortured and strangulated to death. Police had doubted the murder could be a result of a dispute over money.
Asadullah 35 son of Allah Dino, who was employed by a private security firm was gunned down outside a beauty parlor located at Tariq Road where he was deployed as security guard.
Police had in their preliminary investigations claimed that there was a strong likelihood that the deceased security guard had become the victim of his own gun by mistake. The deceased had hailed from district Shikarpur and had lived in Qayyumabad area of Korangi. DNA
