President stresses improved medical facilities for public
ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain Monday stressed for setting up new and modern hospitals in the country and termed improvement of medical facilities need of the hour.
The President stated this while talking to Vice Chancellor Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU) Prof. Dr. Javed Akram and his delegation here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.
He said that improved medical facilities could be provided to people through welfare projects, and added that such projects should be pursued with devotion.
Prof. Dr. Javed Akram gave a comprehensive briefing to the president on proposed Medical Tower Complex project.
President Mamnoon appreciated the project and said that a practicable model should be evolved after consultation with all relevant departments.
He also emphasized upon the need to equip Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Islamabad with the latest and modern health facilities.
Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Barrister Usman Ibrahim and Secretary CADD Khalid Hanif were also present on the occasion.
