Trump tells MBS US will provide intel, targeting assistance amid Yemen escalation: Source
WASHINGTON, SEP 11: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman spoke with US President Donald Trump multiple times in recent days about the escalating situation in Yemen, sources familiar with the matter said on Friday.
Trump told MBS that the US would provide intelligence and targeting assistance, one source told Al Arabiya English, as the Iran-backed Houthis have made significant gains across the Red Sea coastline.
The top US military commander for the Middle East also traveled to the Kingdom in recent hours, the source said.
US Central Command chief Adm. Brad Cooper is in Saudi Arabia, where he is expected to meet senior military and government officials for talks to coordinate.
