HRDN holds rountable discussion to strengthen Corporate, Development sector collaborationV
ISLAMABAD, FEB 5 (APP/DNA):Human Resource Development Network (HRDN) on Wednesday held a round-table discussion to bolster and strengthen collaboration between corporate and development sectors for achieving impactful partnerships.
The high-level roundtable discussion was headed by Chairperson of HRDN Roomi S. Hayat, CEO of The Asia Foundation Muzaffar Ud Din and CEO of HRDN Robeela Bangash.
Almost 30 development and corporate sector organisations, including NRSP, TRDP, SRSP, GBTI, IRM, RSPN, JAZZ, SPO, Mari Petroleum, and others, participated in this meaningful discussion through their representatives.
Chairperson of HRDN Dr. Roomi S. Hayat said, “In the coming 4-5 years, the global funding patterns will change; it can be projected that this will affect the development organisations in Pakistan and across the globe.”
“Some organisations may survive, but others will be under the brunt of this,” he noted.
“As corporate sector organisations have CSR and development organisations have outreach in communities and across vulnerable groups of population, we should, through combined efforts, continue to deliver by tapping national and local funding resources,” he suggested.
CEO of The Asia Foundation Muzaffar ud Din said “There isn’t much synergy between the corporate and development sectors, and the intention is to foster the collaboration through this dialogue.”
He said, “We have one agenda that is dialogue; we can only learn through sharing and discussing our ideas to create a valuable impact.”
“A series of dialogues are needed ahead of this to build connectivity between the corporate and development sectors,” he shared thoughtful insight.
CEO of HRDN Robeela Bangesh welcomed and thanked the distinguished representatives from the corporate and development sectors for participating in this thought-provoking discussion.
She said,” Our objective is to restore sustainability and enhance the cooperation between both sectors.”
It is pertinent to mention here that HRDN is a membership-based network of national and international NGOs and individual professionals.
