Construction of Ring Road yet to begin despite approval from ECNEC
RAWALPINDI, /DNA/ – The state-of-the-art project Ring Road which has been delayed for 21 years, after the approval from ECNEC, paved the way for laying the foundation stone. Ring Road Rawalpindi will not only reduce traffic flow and environmental pollution from the city but will also usher in a new era of construction and development.
38.6 km long ring road with a width of 360 feet will be constructed according to world standards. This will boost the activities of the industrial and real estate sectors around it.
However, the inauguration of these projects will not only strengthen the declining reputation of PTI at the public level but will also bring relief to the more than 7 million population of the Twin Cities.
It is reported that preparations for the inauguration of the projects have now started from the Prime Minister’s House on December 25. Authorities have completed preparations for the relocation of a few graves and a shrine on the way to Ring Road in Mouza Kaliam area.
