UCP, UoS Win Gold Medals in Judo as Kamyab Jawan Sports Drive Continues
Islamabad, Dec 7 /DNA/ – The University of Central Punjab (UCP) and the University of Sargodha (UoS) won gold medals respectively in the men and women judo competitions on the second day of Kamyab Jawan Sports Drive being held at Pakistan Sports Complex.
Federal Ombudsperson for Protection against Harassment of Women Kashmala Tariq distributed medals among the winners and runners-up.
In her remarks, Kashmala Tariq said that the Pakistani youth do not lack talent and can bring medals for the country from all international competitions if provided proper training and opportunities. She stressed the need for promoting sponsorship of student players to take part in national and international games. She highlighted that coaching, training and nutritional support to players is very important to promote sports. She also dilated on safe work environment for all and underlined the importance of protection against harassment at workplace.
Kashmala Tariq presented medals along with cash prizes to male and female student players from University of Central Punjab, University of Sargodha, University of Karachi, Kohat University, Hazara University, and Punjab University.
