President asks people to get better understanding of their rich culture, history

Islamabad : President Dr Arif Alvi has asked the people to get better understanding of their rich culture and history and foil designs aimed at creating cultural divisions in society.
He was addressing a national conference on National Integration and Cultural Assimilation in Islamabad today (Tuesday).
The President said people should visit museums and other places besides reading books to acquaint themselves with their culture.
Alluding to the peaceful civilization of Mohenjo Daro dating back to five thousand years, he said we are proud of our history and values.
The President said Pakistan having a beautiful amalgam of cultures is an emerging nation as it has been put in the right direction.
Dr Arif Alvi said we should promote tolerance and stay alert of fake news which create anarchy in the society.
He warned that the prejudice campaign unleashed by the Indian rulers entail serious consequences.
