COAS, CJP others to attend joint sitting
ISLAMABAD, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed
Bajwa, Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed, Azad Jammu and
Kashmir President Ch Sultan and Prime Minister Abdul Qayyum Niazi will
attend the joint session of the parliament tomorrow on special
invitation.
The National Assembly Secretariat Sunday prepared 6-type of invitations
for the special guests to join the session scheduled to be held
tomorrow (Monday) in Islamabad.
The sources said that the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Naval Chiefs and Air
Chiefs, the four provincial governors and the chief ministers would be
invited to the joint session of the parliament.
The Governor and Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, FPSC chairman,
The Auditor General of Pakistan, diplomats from all countries, advisors and
special assistants to the Prime Minister would also be invited to the
joint sitting.
Federal Secretaries, chairman of PEMRA, OGRA, and NEPRA as well as the
heads of the constitutional bodies including district administration of
Islamabad and CDA chairman would be invited to the meeting.
A day before the session, the assembly Secretariat informed the MPs
about the SOPs and instructed them not to bring guests, staff and
security personnel.
A shuttle service would be run for Parliamentarians from Parliament
Lodges to Parliament House.
