Steps being taken to make PM’s Ten Billion Tree project a success: DC

Faisalabad: 13 July: Under the directions of Punjab Govt. the plantation week in connection with “Khidmat Aap Ki Dehleez” Par Program is being continued and in this regard a target of 13000 saplings has been set across the district while 0.6 million sapling is being planted during year under Clean and Green program.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali sapled the plant at Deputy Commissioner Complex. Additional Deputy Commissioner HQ Muhammad Khalid, ACs Umar Maqbool and Ayub Bukhari, Divisional Forest Officer Wajihuddin, Divisional Forest Officer Extension Muhammad Ali Butt and others also sapled the plants. An information stall on the importance of plants was also set up on the occasion.
The Deputy Commissioner said that all possible steps are being taken to make the Prime Minister’s Ten Billion Tree project a success and the KAKDP program till July 18 is also a link in the chain of tree planting during which government offices, parks and the target will be achieved by planting trees in public places.
He asked the officers of the forest department to make effective arrangements for their maintenance and development by planting different types of tall plants on the available lands so that they can grow and meet the challenges facing the environment.
