Chinese vocational institute design training program for Pakistani students
At the invitation of the school’s administration,they visited HCMVTC’s maritime training base, marine engineering training base, mechanical and electrical engineering department, international students’ apartment and halal cafeteria, after which multiple technical and vocational training programs for Pakistani students is expected to be launched.
Last year, in order to promote exchanges and cooperation on vocational education between Pakistan and China, HCMVTC had inked a cooperation agreement with BGTEA, which allows 30 Pakistani high school graduates to conduct further study under its mechatronics department.
Since then, HCMVTC attached great importance on training, as well as ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the Pakistani students.
This year, enable to counter the influence of COVID-19 pandemic, HCMVTC launched online courses for these Pakistani students, to ensure the successful completion of their training.
“The exchange and cooperation on China’s vocational education is one of the core aspects of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Technical cooperation and exchange between Pakistan and China start with the training of skilled human resources.
Under the CPEC framework, many Pakistani students craving for the opportunity to study in China, deeper cooperation of vocational education between the two countries is meant to happen”,vice secretary general of Beijing Global Talent Exchange Association, Muhammad Ammar stated during his visit at HCMVTC.
After the visit, members from BGTEA and HCMVTC ’s administration thoroughly discussed details of future cooperation on vocational training programs.
Both sides agreed on a 3-year bilingual training program which targets Pakistani students who share interests on navigation courses, and planned to carry out professional and technical training for the staff of Chinese enterprises in Pakistan.
