Winter vacations in schools likely to start from Dec 24
LAHORE – The winter holidays by the School Education Department are likely to take place from December 24 to December 31, according to sources.
It is pertinent to mention that winter vacations for private and government educational institutions were scheduled for the same period of time across Punjab last year. However, due to severe cold weather and fog, they were extended till January 15, 2019.
According to a statement issued by the provincial government, the extension of winter holidays was decided keeping the weather conditions in view. The winter holidays in educational institutions were extended from January 6 to January 15 due to severe fog and cold, the statement said. The holiday extension notification was issued by the Secretary School Education.
